Correspondent S. Dawn Jones is covering Amnesty International's exhibit of a replica of a Guantanamo Bay Prison Cell. Correspondent Meredith Mackenzie is attending an energy forum with Republican Whip Roy Blunt (Mo.) and Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio). Legal Affairs correspondent Jay Goodman Tamboli will cover the Supreme Court.

In the House, the Washington Bureau will cover a full House Committee hearing on China's security developments, a hearing on the national security issues involved with climate change, and a roundtable on diversity. In the Senate, the Bureau will cover a hearing on satisfying energy needs while addressing climate change. Also, the Bureau will cover a hearing on U.S.-Pakistan relations, a discussion of gas price predictions, a hearing on home heating oil prices, and a hearing on the relationship between gas prices and the economy. The Bureau will attend think-tank discussions on Iraq and globalization, a briefing with Senator Barack Obama's (D-Ill.) campaign manager David Plouffe, and a news conference on the expansion of the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Today at Talk Radio News

Good morning everyone. Today at Talk Radio News it is a busy day. Hearings on Capitol Hill include the House Energy and Commerce Committee which will be taking a look at the reduction of greenhouse gases. Later in the day the House will be looking into the status of the economic stimulus payments that started a few months ago.

This afternoon the Heritage Foundation will be hosting Rep. Sue. Myrick (R-N.C.) to be addressing educating American’s of the threat of radical Islamic extremists. Affordable housing prevention and urban issues with the Urban Caucus will be taking a closer look at the child welfare system.

Lastly, the Supreme Court is set to release a set of opinions which no doubt will make news. Meredith MacKenzie will be reporting today from the Pentagon, expect updates later on.

Today at Talk Radio News

Today at the Washington Bureau, Chief United Nations Correspondent Dan Patterson and Correspondent Dawn Jones remain in Iowa covering the floods. News Director Lovisa Frost will be covering the White House. Chief Pentagon Correspondent Meredith MacKenzie will be attending the public wake for deceased Washington Bureau Chief and Moderator of "Meet the Press" Tim Russert.

Staff will cover a full committee hearing on "the origins of aggressive interrogation techniques: Part I of the Committee's inquiry into the treatment of detainees in U.S. Custody," along with a full committee hearing on the challenges and regional solutions to developing transmission for renewable electricity resources. The Bureau will also cover a news conference to announce a "major new initiative to address global warming" with Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas), Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.), and Rep. Christopher Van Hollen (D-Md.). Staff will attend the full committee hearing on "Crisis in the Future: Long Run Deficits and Debt" with Congressional Budget Office Director Peter Orszag, along with a full committee hearing on "Protecting Consumers by Protecting Intellectual Property."

Later in the day, the Bureau will attend hearing on "International Disaster Assistance: Policy Options" hosted by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and a full committee hearing on "Ensuring Legal Redress for American Victims of State-Sponsored Terrorism" hosted by the House Judiciary Committee. Staff will also attend a discussion on "Has the Effect of Foreclosures on Housing Prices Been Overstated?" hosted by The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research (AEI).

Today at the Washington Bureau, Chief Pentagon Correspondent Meredith MacKenzie will be covering events at the Pentagon. Legal Affairs Correspondent Jay Tamboli will be at the Supreme Court. Chief United Nations Correspondent Dan Patterson will be at the UN, after which he will go to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to cover the floods with Correspondent Dawn Jones.

Staff will covering a defense briefing with General Dan McNeille, commander of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, a discussion on "Iran, Middle East and Russian Perspectives," events at the "Prepare for Launch" health reform summit, a discussion on "How will the next president reduce nuclear dangers?" and a conference call briefing to release the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders)/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index for June and discuss what the housing market needs to get back on track.
