Cain's Accuser Reacts To His Campaign "Suspension"

Sharon Bialek, the first woman to go public with sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain, will hold a press conference later today.

Bialek will appear with her attorney, celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, to respond to the former pizza executive’s decision to suspend his presidential campaign.

At the news conference, Bialek plans to directly respond to attacks made against her by Cain and his supporters. Allred plans to discuss Cain’s claims that all of the sexual harassment allegations against him are false as well as his decision to “suspend” rather than terminate his campaign.

The news conference will be held at 3 pm eastern time at the Peninsula Hotel in Chicago, Illinois.

Trump To Moderate GOP Presidential Debate

Real-estate mogul and reality TV host Donald Trump has worked his way back into the political arena by teaming up with Newsmax, the conservative magazine and news website, to moderate a Dec. 27 GOP presidential debate in Des Moines, Iowa. 

“Our readers and the grass roots really love Trump,” said Newsmax Media chief executive Chris Ruddy according to the New York Times. “They may not agree with him on everything, but they don’t see him as owned by the Washington establishment, the media establishment.” 

Trump’s new role as debate moderator is sure to ruffle some feathers and add to an already circus-driven primary race. 

“We are pleased to cordially invite you to ‘The Newsmax Ion Television 2012 Presidential Debate,’ moderated by a truly great American, Mr. Donald J. Trump,” the invitation reads, according to Newsmax. 

Candidates were sent formal invitations Friday afternoon for the debate set to be broadcast on Ion Television two days after Christmas. Jon Huntsman’s campaign has already declined to participate, but no word yet from the remaining candidates. 

“Lol. We look forward to watching Mitt and Newt suck-up to The Donal with a big bowl of popcorn,” said Tim Miller, Huntsman’s campaign spokesman, in an email to Business Insider.

GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman has not seen double digits in the polls for most of his campaign, but is now raking in supporters who have fallen from the Herman Cain train and the Rick Perry ferry.

The Jon2012girls, as they call themselves, posted a cover of Justin Timberlake’s “SexyBack” with original lyrics on their YouTube account. The Huntsman girls label the GOP field (with the exception of dad, of course) a “circus act.”

Report: Cain Reassessing Campaign

Herman Cain told campaign staffers Tuesday that he intends to reassess his campaign, according to a report from the Des Moines Register.

The announcement comes just one day after Atlanta woman Ginger White told the media that she had a 13 year affair with the ex Godfather’s Pizza CEO.

Late last month, Politico reported that the former businessman was accused of sexually harassing two female employees while serving as the head of the National Restaurant Association. Later, an additional woman claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Cain.

Although Cain said that he will be looking at his campaign in a new light, he indicated that he will stay in the race for the time being.

Report: Another Woman Accuses Cain Of Sexual Misconduct

A Georgia businesswoman has accused GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain of inappropriate sexual behavior, according to a Fox TV affiliate in Atlanta.

The woman, named Ginger White, told Fox 5 that she and Cain were involved in an affair that lasted 13 years.

“It wasn’t complicated,” she said during an interview that will air in full this evening. “I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship.”

White becomes the fifth female to voice allegations against Cain in the past month.

In an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer this afternoon, Cain attempted to downplay the new accusation. He called White “an acquaintance, that I thought was a friend.”

“I know that the court of public opinion is gonna formulate its own opinion,” he said. “I can’t control people who are gonna make a decisions based upon accusations…but I just want to give you a heads-up, and your audience a head-up: Here we go again.”
