Tensions Prevalent In East Timor, Says Former New York Times Chief

UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) today launched “The State of World Population 2010: From Conflict and Crisis to Renewal: Generations of Change.”  The report highlights a decade old UN Security Council commitment which calls on all governments to protect women from rape during conflict, and to utilize the role of women to build peace. 

Barbara Crossette, a former New York Times chief who authored the report, says that tensions are still prevalent in East Timor. (0:39)
