New Ad Attacks Angle On Women's Issues

A new ad put out in Nevada by Service Employees International Union attacks Republican Senate candidate Sharon Angle on issues concerning women in all stages of their lives.  The ad slams the candidate on abortion, college loans, jobs and social security while claiming Angle is “too dangerous to have real power over real people.” 

A poll put out by Rasmussen on Sunday put Angle ahead of Democratic rival Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid by three points going into the election.

Reid Rakes Republicans Over Jobs

Minutes after President Barack Obama signed a $42 billion small business assistance bill into law, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) took to the floor to blast the GOP over its opposition to the bill.

“So far we’ve seen little to indicate that our friends on the other side of the aisle have any interest in protecting American jobs. Instead we’ve seen them fight with great enthusiasm to keep corporate tax loopholes as wide open as possible.”

Top Senate Democrat Disagrees With President Over Manhattan Mosque

A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said in a statement today that the top Democrat does not agree with President Barack Obama’s assertion that it is acceptable for a mosque to be built just blocks from where the World Trade Center once stood.

“The First Amendment protects freedom of religion,” Reid spokesman Jim Manley told Politico. “Sen. Reid respects that but thinks that the mosque should be built someplace else…

Reid's Challenger Angling For Soft Media Coverage

Sharron Angle, the conservative Republican who is running neck and neck with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in the race for Reid’s seat this November, wants the press on her side.

“We needed to have the press be our friend,” said Angle to a perplexed Carl Cameron of Fox News. “We wanted them to ask the questions we want to answer so that they report the news the way we want it to be reported.”

Senate To Hold Second Small Business Vote

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has announced that he will hold another vote to try and pass a small business lending bill on Monday at 5:00 pm. Yesterday, Republicans successfully filibustered a vote on the bill, which failed 58-42. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said his party’s opposition stemmed from Democrats’ refusal to allow votes on more than three GOP-offered amendments…
