Obama To Veto Resolution Negating FCC's Net Neutrality Rule

The White House announced Tuesday that President Obama would employ his veto power should the House and Senate pass a resolution championed by Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.) aimed at negating the FCC’s recent net neutrality rule.

“If the President is presented with a Resolution of Disapproval that would not safeguard the free and open Internet, his senior advisers would recommend that he veto the Resolution,” a statement released by the Office of Management and Budget read.

The disapproval resolution is expected to be considered under a closed rule Tuesday and is expected to be passed before the end of the week.
