Report: Facebook Likes Former Obama Spokesman

According to the New York Times, the world’s largest social networking website is considering tapping former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs to help manage its communications division.

Facebook, the company owned and operated by billionaire Mark Zuckerberg, is reportedly interested in Gibbs, who stepped down from the White House podium in February after two years on the job. Gibbs had worked for President Obama since his days as a U.S. Senator from Illinois.

Since he left 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Gibbs has been preparing to work for Obama’s 2012 reelection team, headquartered in Chicago.

Though no formal offer has been made, the job could net Gibbs millions.
