Report: California Democrat To Quit Congress

NBC is reporting that Democratic Rep. Jane Harman (Calif.) is expected to announce Tuesday that she will give up her seat in Congress for an opportunity to become president and CEO of the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C.

A special election will need to be held in order to replace her, but the seat will likely remain Democratic in a reliably left-leaning district.
