Senate Votes To Impeach Federal Judge

U.S. District Judge G. Thomas Porteous of Louisiana will be removed from the bench was found guilty of all four articles of impeachment, including charges of corruption.

The Senate met behind closed doors Tuesday night and voted Wednesday to oust Porteous, making this impeachment only the eigth occurance that a federal judge has been removed form office.
