Today at Talk Radio News

This morning the Washington Bureau will be attending a Middle East Policy Council discussion on "Hamas and the Two-State Solution: Villain, Victim, or Missing Ingredient?” and a briefing entitled "Trade Offs: Why the Colombia Free Trade Agreement Should Pass Regardless of Trade Adjustment Assistance." Also, a discussion on "The Global Warming Debate: Climate Change Policy or Carbon Cartel Building," with Alexandra Bourne, vice president for policy and strategy at the Heartland Institute, will be covered.

This afternoon, the Washington Bureau will be covering the grand-opening of the Newseum, featuring appearances by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. John Lewis, and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

This morning at the Talk Radio News Service, our Washington Bureau will be covering the House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing on the sports programming market; the House Judiciary Committee hearing on Homeland Security oversight; and a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on Ballistic Missile Defense Oversight.

News Director Lovisa Frost will be covering President Bush in the White House press pool.

Chief Pentagon Correspondent Meredith MacKenzie will be attending the White House gaggle.

Legal Affairs Correspondent Jay Tamboli will be returning from Columbus Ohio where he has been covering the Ohio primary.

Correspondent Dan Patterson will be covering the UN.

In the afternoon, the Washington Bureau will cover the House Science and Technology Committee hearing on CDC's FEMA Trailer Formaldehyde Testing; a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on “Cuba Outlook”; and a Press conference on the Paul Wellstone Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act (HR 1424).

Today at the Talk Radio News Service

This morning, Talk Radio News Service Legal Affairs Correspondent Jay Tamboli is attending a Supreme Court oral argument on racial discrimination claims. Chief Pentagon Correspondent, Meredith MacKenzie, will be covering Pentagon briefings all day regarding the destruction of the aging spy satellite. The Talk Radio News Service's Washington Bureau will also be covering a discussion on "Pakistan's Elections: Free, Fair, and Safe? Post-Election Analysis," held by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). At noon, we will be attending the Woodrow Wilson Center's discussion on "Population and Climate Change: Relationships, Research, Responses." On the P.M. agenda, being covered is a discussion held by NDN on "The Uncharted Political Terrain of Campaign 08," as well as the Heritage Foundation's discussion on "Upstream: The Ascendance of American Conservatism." As President Bush is traveling in Ghana, there will be no White House Briefing.

In New York, UN Correspondent Dan Patterson will attend the noon briefing at the United Nations. Agenda items include Kosovo independence and Israeli and Palestinian Borders. Dan is also currently investigating the Matthew Lee/UN/Google story.

Congress will continue their Presidents' Day recess for the remainder of the week.
