Unemployment At 9.4% In December
Friday, January 7, 2011 at 9:10AMAccording to new data released by the Department of Labor, unemployment was at 9.4 percent in December, a .4 percent decrease from the previous month.
103,000 new jobs were added to the economy, with the largest increases in the health care field as well as leisure and hospitality.
The new numbers reflect the lowest unemployment rate since May of 2009.
14.5 million Americans remain unemployed.
