Reconciliation Bill Passes Through The House By 220 To 211
The House of Representatives voted by 220 to 211 to pass a reconciliation bill with key amendments to the Senate version of health care reform legislation passed earlier in through the lower chamber.
The bill will now go to the Senate, where, due to the upper chamber’s procedural rules, it can be voted on through a simple majority and without the threat of filibuster.
Sunday’s series of vote signal the final stage of the year-long debate over health care reform.
