Olbermann To Return To The Air Tuesday

Keith Olbermann, the host of the MSNB show Countdown, will return to the air Tuesday after the host was suspended for donating to three Democratic candidates.

“After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night’s program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement released Sunday.

While Olbermann’s suspension was initially described as “indefinite,” the disciplinary action will result in him missing only two shows, Friday’s and Monday’s.

Olbermann, a liberal, gave $2,400 to Kentucky’s Democratic Senate candidate Jack Conway and Arizona representatives Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords. $2,400 is the highest an individual can legally donate to a federal candidate under guidelines from the Federal Elections Commission.
