UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s Full Joint Congressional Address
The Rt. Hon Gordon Brown M.P., Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland made a joint address to Congress today. In his speech he talked about the world working together, united to tackle the economic crisis. Brown also talked about the war on terror, environmental issues and conflict in Africa.
Brown said: “With faith in the future, we can build tomorrow today.”

Cost Of Swine Flu "Uncertain"
At a House Joint Economic Committee Hearing today, Dr. Christina Romer, Chair of the Council for Economic Advisors, was asked by Congressman Vic Snyder (D-Ark.) “How should we view the added uncertainty in the economy both here and abroad that may be created the threat of a major health flu pandemic around the world?” Dr. Romer said the costs at this stage were "uncertain," adding the priority of the administration was to "save lives."
