Analyst: China Currency Bill Lose-Lose For Obama
Stephen Orlins, President of the National Committee on United States-China Relations, does not think it likely that the Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act will pass the House, but said it would be a lose-lose for President Obama if it does make it to the President’s desk. Orlins notes that either the President signs it and damages the economy or vetoes it and looks weak politically. The China currency bill was designed to give the U.S. tools to pressure countries that undervalue their currency. (0:35)
