Gates: Preventing Civilian Deaths In Afghanistan "A Continuing Challenge"

Defense Secretary Robert Gates responded Wednesday to Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s recent frustration over civilian deaths.

Gates said the U.S. is still very concerned about preventing needless deaths, describing it as a “continuing challenge.” He added that joint-investigations are a helpful tool. (0:23)
