Gulf Coast Group Invites Outside Institutions To Study BP Spill

At a news conference Monday, Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GRI) Chair Dr. Rita Colwell announced the availability of research funding to study the effects of the Deepwater Horizon incident on the Gulf of Mexico. Colwell said that Gulf region institutions are anticipated to lead the research, but that outside groups are welcome to apply as well. (0:40)
