Small Businesses Will Not Be Mandated To Provide Health Care Coverage, Says White House Official  

Nancy-Ann DeParle, Director of the White House Office of Health Care Reform, says that small businesses that consist of 50 employees or less will be exempt from any employer responsibility requirements to provide health care coverage, and explains that for businesses with over 51 employees there are cushions to ensure that the owner will not be too heavily penalized for not providing coverage.
