Don't Blame White House For Credit Card Companies Raising Rates, Says Top Obama Adviser
During a conference call with reporters on Monday, White House Senior Economic Adviser Austan Goolsbee says the administration is not to blame for the fact that many credit card companies raised rates, imposed new fees and closed customer accounts during the time that elapsed between when President Barack Obama signed the CARD Act into law and when the law when into effect.
