Rep. Giffords To Be Released, Transferred On Friday

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will be released from the hospital just two weeks after she was shot in the head while meeting with constituents in Tucson, Ariz.

According to KTRK-TV in Houston, Texas, Giffords is scheduled to be released from Tucson’s University Medical Center and transferred the Institute for Rehabilitation and Research at Houston’s Memorial Hermann hospital.

The Houston hospital specializes in the rehabilitation of people with brain injuries.
