President Obama Signs Norwegian Condolence Book

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden left the White House this afternoon on an unannounced visit to the Norwegian ambassador’s house.  During their visit they are offering their condolences following the tragic events of last week’s attacks. The president and vice-president will also be delivering hand-written condolence letters from Mrs. Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden.  

Obama and Biden To Meet With Governors

According to the White House, President Obama and Vice President Biden will meet with Democratic Governors in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. They will talk about working together growing the economy and creating jobs. This weekend, the President and First Lady will host the National Governors Association for their annual dinner at the White House.

Biden To Vote In Delaware

Biden Stumping For Dems In New Hampshire

Vice President Biden will be attending a fundraiser Monday for New Hampshire Democrats Rep. Carol Shea-Porter and Senate hopeful Paul Hodes.

 Biden’s fundraising appearance will follow an economic discussion held at a private residence with Shea-Porter, Hodes and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D).

Biden: Tea Party Wins Could Be Good For Democrats

Vice President Joe Biden remarked Thursday that the Tea Party candidates who have won recent primary upsets in Alaska and Delaware could be help Democrats by energizing the party’s base.

“Maybe the best thing to happen to us lately is the tea party wins,” Biden said during a fundraiser for in Maryland for Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) “Maybe it’ll shake some of our constituency out of their lethargy.”

Biden added that he remained a stalwart believer in Democrats’ ability to maintain their Congressional majorities.

“I guarantee you we’re going to have a majority in the House and a majority in the Senate,” Biden said.
