Pelosi Aide Stands Up For Bachmann

Stacy Kerr, a top aide to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), accused the media today of unfairly scrutinizing GOP presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.).

“Bachmann - she’d never get my vote, but she has my ire at how media is treating her. they’d never treat a man like this week of announcement,” Kerr tweeted on Wednesday morning.

Bachmann, the fiery two-term Tea Party lawmaker, has been in the spotlight ever since she announced during a Republican debate in New Hampshire earlier this month that she would pursue her party’s nomination. On Monday, she formally announced her candidacy in Waterloo, Iowa, but was lampooned after she confused actor John Wayne with serial killer John Wayne Gacy during her speech.
