John Bolton Advocates Military Action Against Iran

Former U.S. representative to the United Nations John Bolton told the House Foreign Affairs Committee Thursday that would-be rogue nations are watching how the U.S. is dealing with Iran and North Korea’s attempts to bolster their nuclear capabilities and may see launchinga nuclear weapons program as a means to receive special standing on the world stage.

Bolton said that the U.S. should actively consider military action to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

“The alternative of a nuclear Iran is so much more dangerous for us and our allies in the region, and having seen all the other options for dealing with Iran’s weapons program fail, thats what we’re left with,” Bolton said.
