Ten-Term California Democrat To Announce Retirement

Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.) is expected to announce her retirement after completing her 10th term in 2012, according to reports. 

Sources close to the Congresswoman have indicated that the Democrat will make the announcement next Monday from her home in Petaluma, California. 

Word of Woolsey’s retirement began in December after she said she was considering retiring, acknowledging her age, 73, and the fact that she’d been serving for 20 years.
