Pelosi Says Libya Intervention Legal, Dodges Weiner Questions

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) began her press conference Thursday morning by saying that she would not take any questions on Anthony Weiner.  She tenaciously kept her word. 

In the question and answer session, Pelosi repeatedly fended off questions about Anthony Weiner.  She did however defend the President on U.S. military involvement in Libya, saying that “the limited nature of the conflict” means that he does not need official approval from Congress to carry out military operations. She emphasized the importance of communication with Congress and the American people before reiterating that Obama had and still has the authority for the Libyan missions.
