Obama Talks Immigration Reform With Hispanic Leaders
President Obama will host a group of Hispanic leaders during a meeting at the White House this afternoon. The meeting will center on the issue of immigration reform, something the President has pledged to keep working on despite a clear lack of motivation in Congress.
According to a backgrounder on the event released by the White House, “President Obama remains deeply committed to fixing the broken immigration system,” and “believes Democrats and Republicans should come together to tackle an issue that is critical not only to our national security but also to the economy and our global competiveness.”
The delegation that will meet with the President includes actresses Eva Longoria and Rosario Dawson.
