Petraeus Taps Officer To Investigate Psy-Ops Charge

General David Petraeus has assigned Lt. General William Webster to investigate accusations that Lt. General William Caldwell illegally used psy-ops against visiting U.S. officials in Afghanistan.

Webster is the Commanding General of the Third Army/US Army Central Command.

The charges of illegal psy-ops use emerged in Rolling Stone Magazine last month. The story details orders Caldwell allegedly gave his subordinates.

Caldwell was tasked with training Afghan Security Forces.
