Gen. Jones Tapped As Commerce Fellow

Former National Security Advisor to President Obama Gen. James L. Jones has been named as a U.S. Chamber of Commerce Fellow.

“I am delighted to be working with the U.S. Chamber again,” said Jones. “This is an organization that makes a difference. I am pleased to serve in an advisory role and help shape its policies and its agenda for American jobs and competitiveness.”

In his new role with the Chamber of Commerce, Jones will provide strategic advice on policy issues of interest to the business community.

“Few leaders possess the wisdom, depth of experience, and knowledge of global and domestic economic and military affairs as General Jones,” said U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue. “His advice on a wide range of economic and national security issues will prove invaluable to the Chamber, our members, and our country as we work aggressively to create jobs, spur the economy, and engage the world.”
