Obama Thanks Turkish PM For Role In New York Times Reporters' Release

President Obama has thanked Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip  Erdogan for the role his country played in helping four New York Times journalists detained by the Libyan government leave the country.

According to the White House, the President made the gesture during a phone conversation with the Prime Minister Monday. The two heads of state also “reaffirmed their support for the full implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions … in order to protect the Libyan people.”
