Trump A Birther?

Potential 2012 presidential candidate Donald Trump says even smart guys like him have doubts about whether or not President Obama was born in the United States.

During an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday, Trump, who prefaced his remarks by saying that he’s a “really smart guy,” explained why he sometimes questions Obama’s citizenship.

“He grew up and nobody knew him. You know?” Trump said. “If ever I got the nomination, if I ever decide to run, you may go back and interview people from my kindergarten. They’ll remember me.”

Trump, a Republican, added that with respect to Obama, “nobody ever comes forward. Nobody knows who he his until later in his life. It’s very strange. The whole thing is very strange.”
