Report: Dodd In The Running To Head Up MPAA
Former Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) is reportedly in the mix to become the next president of the Motion Picture Association of America.
The job, which entails representing all the big Hollywood studios, is widely considered to be one of the best lobbying positions in Washington.
Sources say that Dodd, the former Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee who retired in 2010 after spending more than three decades in Congress, has been a candidate for the position for months.
It was reported last week that well-respected Washington attorney Antoinette Cook Bush is also a frontrunner to succeed interim MPAA President Bob Pisano.
