Rubio: Obama's Budget Cannot Be Taken Seriously

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl.) said Monday that the White House’s budget proposal “cannot be taken seriously.”

“The President’s ten year proposed ‘savings’ is less than this year’s budget deficit alone,” Rubio said in a statement.

The freshman Senator adds that the proposal will ultimately contriubte $7.2 trillion to the national debt.

“The American people have every reason to be disappointed by the President’s budget and by Washington politicians who either don’t understand the seriousness of our fiscal crisis, or who are simply not willing to confront this challenge head-on,” Rubio notes.
