Fired Agriculture Official Suing Breitbart Over Video

Shirley Sherrod, a former Agriculture Department official, is suing conservative new media mogul Andrew Breitbart over a selectively edited video that she claims led to her ouster.

Breitbart, who posted the video on his site Biggovernment.com, was served the notice Saturday at the CPAC 2011 convention, according to the New York Times.

“I can promise you this: neither I, nor my journalistic websites, will or can be silenced by the institutional Left, which is obviously funding this lawsuit,” Breitbart said in a statement. “I welcome the judicial discovery process, including finding out which groups are doing so.”
