Democrats Oppose Verizon Appeal Over Net Neutrailty

Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) and Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) released the following joint statement on Friday in response to Verizon Communications’ decision to appeal the FCC’s recent ruling on net neutrality:

“Verizon has the legal right to do this, but we are disappointed that they filed suit.  We support the FCC’s efforts because they will protect consumers and provide companies with the certainty they need to make investments in our growing digital economy.”
