Ellemers Over Etheridge In North Carolina

CNN is reporting that seven term Congressman Bobby Etheridge (D) has conceded defeat for North Carolina’s 2nd District seat to Republican Renee Ellmer.  

“Now, the election recount has concluded, and the numbers confirm that despite the incredible support we had – and neither candidate getting to 50% – in the end we came up just a little too short,” said Etheridge.

The Congressman added that “what’s done is done,” and congradulated Ellmers on her victory.
