Poll: 64 Percent Of Voters Oppose Raising Debt Ceiling

64  percent of likely voters oppose raising the debt ceiling, according to a poll released Tuesday from Zogby International.

“While the national debt may not rank as high in voters’ priorities as creating jobs, voters strongly oppose raising the debt ceiling,” Pollster John Zogby said in a statement.

Despite the heavy level of opposition, 55 percent of those polled believe that Congress will ultimately vote to raise the ceiling.

The poll, compiled between November 12-15th, was conducted among 2,062 likely voters.
