It's Unanimous, McConnell Re-Elected
Republican Senators and Senators-elect have unanimously decided to keep Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) as their party’s leader in the upper chamber. After being nominated by Sen. John McCain and Senator-elect Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), fellow Senate GOPers followed suit.
Rumors lingered over whether Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C) would lead a Tea Party coup against McConnell, but DeMint did not pursue the position.
