The Woodrow Wilson Center held a discussion today entitled, “Under Three Empires: The Thorns and Roses of Life,” by Izyaslav Darakhovskiy. Darakhovskiy, a Holocaust survivor, spoke about his life including life in a concentration camp. He discussed the trials and tribulations of his family and friends and then progressed on to discuss his path after World War II.
Darakhovskiy ultimately became a professor amd a prominent economic advisor. He has authored several books about his experiences and expertise and is now a U.S. citizen.
