Poll: Obama's Economic Approval Dips To New Low

The percentage of likely voters who approve of President Obama’s handling of the economy has dropped to a new low, 26 percent, according to a recent Gallup poll.

71 percent of likely voters disapprove of the President’s handling of the economy.

On the economy, the federal deficit and creating jobs, voters approve of Obama’s policies with 26, 24 and 29 percent approving, respectively.

Although his approval ratings are a gloomy with respect to the economy, Obama fares relatively better on foreign policy matters with 53 percent approving of his handling of terrorism.

The fragile economy and job creation were at the center of discussion during Obama’s three-day bus tour of the Midwest. Although the President is leaving Thursday for a 10-day vacation to Martha’s Vineyard, he will outline new proposals to boost job growth and revitalize the economy in the early days of September.
