Poll: Americans Warming Up To Christie

New Jersey Governor Christie (R) elicits a warmer response from the American public than President Barack Obama, according to a Quinnipiac University poll that asked respondents to rank their impressions of American figures by temperature.

According to the poll, Christie comes in at 57 degrees while Obama ranks at 56.5. However, 55 percent of those polled responded that they don’t know enough about the Governor to give an opinion.

“New Jersey Gov. Christopher Christie has ruled out running for president next year despite the urging of many Republicans, but he has clearly made a positive impression on the American people,” Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute said in a statement. “At least the half who are familiar with him.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) came in last at 32.9 degrees followed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) at 34.8 and former Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin at 38.2.

Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani were the only other three possible 2012 candidates to chart above 50 degrees.

The full results can be seen here.
