Administration Putting Finishing Touches On Sanctions Against  Libya

White House spokesman Jay Carney announced Friday that the administration will impose sanctions against Libya and its leader, Muammar Gaddafi.

Carney was not specific about what such sanctions would consist of, but said that the White House will release details about them soon.

Obama, according to Carney, has spent a good deal of time this week discussing Libya with his National Security Advisor, Tom Donilon, and will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon at the White House on Monday.
