Issa: If Economy Is Strong, I Wouldn't Mind Second Term For Obama

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said he would not have a problem if President Barack Obama was re-elected to a second term if the economy was strong and growing.

According to The Hill, Issa, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee said “I probably still won’t vote for him, but I certainly wouldn’t feel bad if Americans were working again, and he did get another four years.”

The California Republican said that his goal is to “strengthen” Obama and that over the past two years, the president was weakened because “they gave him too much money too loosely.”

“If the president’s going to win reelection. he’s going to win reelection because, together, we turned the economy in the right direction, American businesses invested, Americans went back to work and are feeling good in 2012,” he said.
