McCain Speechwriter Penned Anonymous Obama Novel

The speculation over who wrote a new anonymously published political novel is now over, according to Time magazine’s Mark Halperin.

Mark Salter, a former aide to Senator John McCain, is behind “O: A Presidential Novel,” a book that depicts the inner-workings of the Obama White House.

This is not Salter’s first foray into publishing. Prior to exiting McCain’s staff, Salter co-wrote several nonfiction books with John McCain.

The book debuted on January 25^th to mixed reviews. The publisher, Simon and Schuster, has attributed it solely to somebody who has “been in the room” with President Obama.
