Biden: Republicans Are Anti-Business

Vice President Joe Biden accused Congressional Republicans Thursday of hindering business through their opposition to the Recovery Act.

“I respectfully suggest [Republicans] are anti-business,” Biden said during an address in Manchester, New Hampshire. “The idea that you vote against this legislation that has brought just the energy investments we have put in … [have] brought $100 billion of private capital off the sidelines … into the game.”

Biden’s comment comes just days after House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) made a highly-publicized speech accusing the Obama administration of pursuing a “job-killing” agenda. Boehner said that the White House should replace their economic team. In a speech soon after, Biden mocked the suggestion.

“Very constructive advice,” The Vice President joked. “We thank him for that.”
