- Toyota President and CEO Akio Toyoda testifies at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on "Toyota Gas Pedals: Is the Public At Risk?" the hearing will focus on the federal government's response to the recall of millions of Toyota vehicles due to reports of malfunctioning gas pedals.

- Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke testifies to the House Financial Services Committee on the Federal Reserve's semiannual report on monetary policy and the state of the economy.
