Today at Talk Radio News, the Washington Bureau will be covering Senate meetings regarding siting of electricity transmission lines, as well as a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on "Public Corruption Prosecution Improvements Act." Additionally, the bureau will attend House hearings on "Lost Educational Opportunities in Alternative Settings," "Africa: Great Lakes, Sudan and the Horn," and "Domestic Nutrition Programs." The bureau will also be attending a House meeting on "Money, Guns, and Drugs: Are U.S. Inputs Fueling Violence on the U.S.-Mexico Border?" In budget news, correspondents will be covering "The President's FY2010 Budget and Revenue Proposals." Further events being attended today include: a House Energy and Environment Subcommittee meeting on "Consumer Protection Policies in Climate Legislation," House Appropriations Committee Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Subcommittee hearing on "'What Works' for Successful Prisoner Reentry,"
and Rep. Danny Davis et al reintroduce the Federal Prison Work Incentive Act. Finally, we will be covering a rally to protest the proposed 100 percent tuition increase over the next two years at the University of D.C.
