New unemployment numbers

At a press conference Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley (D-MD) and CAPAF Senior Economist Heather Boushey talks about the recent unemployment figures.
The new figures from a new released report shows an increase of unemployment of 600,000 jobs over just one month. Boushey stated that the only way to get America out of the economical situation is to implement the recovery package. By passing the bill a long term economic growth can began to prosper and get people back to work, Boushey said.
The importance of acting now was also discussed and O'Malley discussed that America cannot afford to wait any longer.
"The bill has to be passed now to avoid digging a deeper hole than we are already in," O'Malley said.
