McCain has chosen his running mate: Exxon Mobil, says Gov. O'Malley

Gov. Martin O'Malley kicked off his new campaign at press conference in the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters. His campaign, called "Exxon-McCain '08," mockingly refers to big oil companies as Senator John McCain's (R-Az.) running mate in the 2008 presidential election, and O'Malley plans to take the campaign through cities across America.

"All of this is a bit of a tongue-in-cheek way of underscoring a very, very serious problem that is facing all of us as Americans," O'Malley said.

At the front of the room sat an oversized check made out to McCain. The amount of money on the check, $2 million, symbolized how much money McCain has received from oil companies during the election season. According to a DNC document from the conference, McCain has received almost $55,000 in contributions from Exxon employees and Exxon's political action committee.

Outside of the DNC headquarters, two members of the Republican National Committee held up their own mock-check made out to Barack Obama for $2.8 billion, which is an attack on Obama's 2005 vote on an energy bill that gave tax breaks to oil companies.

O'Malley said Barack Obama is going to use oil company funds to give people emergency energy rebates at $1000 per family and $500 per individual. McCain cannot do this because of his interest in oil companies, O'Malley said.

When the floor opened up for questions, one man asked O'Malley if the Democratic Party has received any money from oil companies. Brad Woodhouse, Communications Director for the DNC, said he did not know the answer, but would get back to the man about it.

This piece on McCain is great, but the big story on McCain is slipping through the cracks, so please citizens, think about this and help me keep it alive until it gets the Congress to act:

McCain went on Letterman in OCT 2001 and told the nation, " a SOURCE told me that the IRAQI's were the ones who sent the ANTHRAX (a WMD) to the NBC offices and to the offices of two (liberal) Congressmen.

Now, the FBI says, the anthrax was made in Maryland and never in the hands of Iraqi's.

Therefore, the SOURCE of McCain's claim was guilty of creating false propaganda. It happens that creating false propaganda for the purpose of getting the US of A into a war, is a crime. Guess what?
We went to war, on the false premises of WMDs in IRAQ. Therefore the SOURCE of the claim by McCain was a criminal, and if the Vice President or Sec of Defense or FBI officer, treasonous.

Take this and keep it alive. Maybe you can find the OCT 2001 Letterman show on the internet. It was on MSNBC last Friday. Probably it is posted on MSNBC for a while.
You will enjoy McCain working up to saying it was the IRAQI's. He hems, he haws and he finally bumbles it out, I have a SOURCE and the SOURCE er, uh, tells me, um, er, uh, THE IRAQI's were, er, uh, the ones who, um, uh, er, attacked us with anthrax.

By getting Congress to act, I mean, McCain must give sworn testimony under penalty of perjury, as to who was the "SOURCE" who told him that the Anthrax WMD was done - to NBC and Congress - by IRAQI's. To keep it hidden is covering up for a person who caused the deaths of thousands of American soldiers, and surely the patriot McCain will help bring this criminal to justice, and apologize for his part as the dupe in spreading false propaganda which caused the loss of a trillion dollars in taxpayer money and 100,000 Iraqi's deaths and the pain and suffering of the families of the soldiers who died and were wounded.
