High Unemployment Rate Spells Out Need For Continued Aid, Says House Dem
Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) points out that Congress has never allowed unemployment benefits to expire when unemployment is at such a high rate, adding that if the extension bill is not passed, more than 2.1 million unemployed Americans will lose their benefits by mid-February and more than 6 million by the end of 2012 (0:40).
