Al-Qaida Failed To Prevent Iraqis From Voting, Says General Petraeus
During an address in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, Commander of the U.S. Central Command General David Petraeus says that al-Qaida did all that it could do to try and keep Iraqi citizens from going to the polls on Election Day, but did not succeed. Over 60 percent of eligible Iraqi voters filled out ballots, he said. (0:22)
