USDA Broadband Investment Will Create 5,000 Jobs, Says Vilsack

Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced the USDA’s plan to invest in spreading broadband internet in various rural ares in order to spur the economy and create jobs during a conference call with reporters. Vislack says he expects somewhere near 5,000 jobs to be created between construction and management of the new infrastructure. (0:43)
